About the Tournament

Exchange Club of Indian River Foundation’s Fourth  Annual Toss Out Child Abuse Charity Cornhole Tournament was held Saturday, March 7, at  Walking Tree Brewery, 3209 Dodger Road, Vero Beach. An hour of practice and onsite registration began at 11:00 am. Don’t know how to play cornhole? Novices learn ed how during the practice hour.

The double elimination tournament began at noon. Each team of two played a minimum of three games.  A total payout of $1,000 prize money was awarded.

Entrants participated in one of two ability levels determined by the results of qualifying rounds. The payouts for top two winners of the A Level were $400 and $300 and for the top two winners of the B Level were $200 and $100.

The event featured tantalizing auction items and a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds from the event benefit local projects for the prevention of child abuse.

John Pertile of St. Pete Cornhole from St. Petersburg managed the double-elimination tournament, handled  onsite registration, and served as master of ceremonies. Custom cornhole sets were available for purchase.

Nate’s Good BBQ food truck offered delicious food.
